The mattress cover is made of luxurious Tencel ™ Gold fabric , one of the most environmentally friendly textiles. It comes directly from nature by extracting FSC-certified cellulose through sustainable forestry. Tencel has many of the good properties of wool. The fiber is durable, but at the same time soft and light. It is also very elastic and flexible. Smooth surface and feels softer against the skin like wool, cotton or silk.
Tencel™ fibers transport moisture very well and absorb 50 percent more moisture than cotton.
The material also breathes well, dries quickly and is not prone to wrinkles. Like wool, Tencel ™ is naturally antibacterial and has up to 2000 times less bacterial growth than synthetic fibers.
The cover is also hypoallergenic and washable at 40 degrees.
